Empress Media, Inc. started in 1998 and has grown to be one of the largest providers of blank recording media and supplies in the country. The company continues to expand, opening a California location in 2010 and a new, state-of-the-art videotape recycling facility in New York in 2011.
Over the past decade Empress has answered the continuing needs of its tape stock clients as they transitioned from tape-based to tapeless workflows. To address these concerns, Empress Media Asset Management, LLC was founded in 2006. The company created its signature software package eMAM™ to provide a powerful and flexible web based system for clients to manage all their digital assets. The company’s offerings continue to grow and now include hosted (SaaS) options, mobile/smart phone support, cloud storage and transmission, plus much more. Today eMAM™ is one the industry’s most efficient, powerful, and cost effective Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems on the market.
In 2008 Empress formed a partnership for offshore software and database development in order to provide customers with high quality software solutions at outstanding prices. The result was the formation of Empress Cybernetic Systems, LTD. With the advent of this partnership we are able to deliver innovative solutions such as e-commerce, data management, custom software development, web development, and more. The company’s expansion continues with offices in Cochin in Kerala Province, India and New York City, NY.
Wendy Wang, CEO
Wendy comes from an extensive film background in her native China. She attended the prestigious Beijing Film Academy. Like most aspiring creative artists, she needed a day job to finance the production of her screenplay “Farewell My Empress”, so Empress Media, Inc. was started in 1998. Under Wendy’s vision and stewardship, the Empress family of companies continues to grow despite challenging economic and industry conditions. Ironically, Wendy has been too busy to ever produce her movie.
David S. Miller, COO
David comes from an Education and Finance background. He holds a B.S. in the Integrated Science Program at Northwestern University, a M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin, and an MBA from Pace University. David uses his broad analytic and business experience to direct the daily operation, finances, and growth of the Empress. Under his guidance the company’s expansion has been soundly managed, debt free, and ready for future growth.
Binu Paul, Managing Director, Empress Cybernetic Systems, LTD
Mr. Paul holds Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. He held various engineering positions with Indian corporations until 2000. He is a technology consultant to many US corporations where he architected, developed and managed several software systems. Mr. Paul brings in his extensive background in IT and offshore IT industry, to deliver innovative solutions to the company's international clients.
Binu Paul provides leadership to Empress’s- Information Technology and Software Development Services and heads the company's Indian business operations as the Managing Director.
His responsibilities include strategic technology direction, IT service delivery, client development, and management.
